2020 Encore Online Bootcamps

Jonas Encore Bootcamps are online group seminars designed to provide club employees with best practices across Encore's suite of applications.

These seminars include focused application education, followed by a 30-minute Q&A period.

Each seminar is $150 per club and any number of staff from your club may attend. No more than 12 clubs will be in attendance so request your club's spot as soon as possible.

Point of Sale – Retail

This seminar focuses on the Retail Point of Sale and is intended for employees working in the golf shop, tennis shop or other retail area at the club. The session will outline how to process a chit, including navigating the My Shift screen, finding sales items and processing payments. It will outline the fundamental skills required to utilize your Club’s point of sale.

Point of Sale - F&B

This seminar focuses on the Food & Beverage Point of Sale and is intended for F&B servers. From snack bar to dining room, this session will provide your servers with the skills required to use Point of Sale. This includes a focus on the My Shift screen, how to split chits, how to navigate prep options and the fundamentals of creating a chit.

Event Management

This seminar focuses on the Event Management application and is intended for Catering & Events Staff and Managers. This session will review both types of event processing: club events and private events. This will enable your staff to create events from start to finish, including billing and generating forms.

Accounts Receivable & Membership

This seminar focuses on the Accounts Receivable application, with a highlight on member management and is intended for Membership Directors & Staff who work with the member files and/or billing on a regular basis. This session will outline the membership database and everything you need to know about member files, billing and navigation of the application.


Point of Sale for Managers – Retail

This seminar goes beyond the basic Point of Sale functions and highlights setup and functionality within the Point of Sale application, with a focus on retail. This session is intended for managers within retail outlets at the Club and will show you how to manage your sales items & SKUs, run reports & perform management functions within Point of Sale & Inventory.

Point of Sale for Managers – F&B

This seminar goes beyond the basic Point of Sale functions and highlights setup and functionality within the Point of Sale module, with a focus on food & beverage. This session is intended for food & beverage managers at the Club and will show you how to manage your sales items, run reports and perform management functions within the Point of Sale.

General Ledger & Accounts Payable

This seminar focuses on both General Ledger and the Accounts Payable application, from posting journal entries, to bank recs to invoicing and more! It is intended for controllers, accounting staff and employees who work with the General Ledger or Accounts Payable application on a regular basis. This session will show you how to maintain proper audit trails, run reports and manage your payables.

Dining Reservations

This seminar focuses on the Dining Reservations module and is intended for employees that are utilizing the module to create and manage reservations. This sessions will outline how to enter reservations, delete or change reservations and will also highlight important reporting capabilities.

Business Intelligence – Reporting & Dashboards

This seminar focuses on the Business Intelligence module and is intended for department heads or employees across various disciplines that would benefit from creating custom reports and dashboards. The session will provide you with the tools to build your own reports from AR to Point of Sale to Booking Modules and enable you to design a dashboard to track important metrics.

Club Credits

This seminar focuses on the Club Credits module and is intended for staff that will be issuing, redeeming or managing club credits including sweeps, credit book, gift certificates or gift cards. The session will highlight how to create credit categories, as well as how to issue and redeem various credits at point of sale or through the back office. Reporting and expiring club credits will also be covered.

System Administration - Charge Codes, Surcharge Codes & Billing Items

This seminar focuses on a particular topic of the System Administration module and is ideally targeted to controllers or accounting staff who work with billing items and charge codes on a daily basis. This session will help to explain the linkages between charge codes, surcharge codes, general ledger accounts and billing or point of sale items. It will help give users a better understanding of how the Encore system of items is built so that you can optimize your reporting and operations.

System Administration - User Groups, Users, Workstations & Staff

This seminar focuses on the user aspect of the System Administration module and is targeted at employees who are responsible for creating and maintaining user records and workstations. The session will cover how to create and maintain user records with appropriate access levels and overrides. It will also focus on how to setup new workstations and restrict those workstations to certain functions.
